The parent's rate can go as high as 35%.


    IRS Data Shows the Growth of the Tax Code

    For instance, if tax returns with adjusted gross income (AGI) between $200,000 and $5000.00 account for 9.97 percent of personal income, then they would pay 9.97 percent of the taxes.
