Protecting American Citizens from Domestic Enemies

What can I say America concerning the current events of the war between Israel and Hezbollah/Shiites? This is truly a war because both sides are using bombs and gun fire. Israel is hitting everything in Lebanon and Hezbollah from Lebanon is hitting everything in Israel.

Has the UN Become Irrelevant?

The nuclear impasse with Iran will likely prove that the UN is an irrelevant body when it comes to dealing with significant global issues. The permanent five will not be able to agree on measures to take when Iran rejects the call to suspend uranium enrichment activities.

Why We Can't Win The War Against Terrorism

Terrorist are special interest groups often supported by governments but not recognized by those same governments. In Washington we are expert in dealing with such groups. They have powerful attorneys that bully us and bribe us but we talk things out and resolve problems - perhaps too often in the favor of the special interest groups. Unless the terrorist gain some way to communicate with governments, other than by killing innocent people and themselves, this war will rage on forever.

And The Winner Is

Less than 48 hours after the start of a tentative cease fire between Hezbollah and Israel, the U.S. President is publicly proclaiming winners and losers. Is he as stupid as he acts or is he just another dirty dog who can't resist rolling in a pile of crap? A message straight from my heart.

Why Do Consumers Blame the Bush Administration for Gasoline Prices?

Do you ever find it interesting that so many closet liberal thinkers blame the Bush Administration for higher oil prices and gasoline prices at the pump? Many say well the argument has merit, because the Bush Family has previously been in the oil business.

A Second Look at the War on Terror

It was the headline seen on websites around the world—“Airlines Terror Plot Disrupted.” Westerners awakened on August 10th to the news that a terrorist plot of possibly unprecedented proportions had been planned for planes from the U.K. heading to the U.S. Scotland Yard reported that the diabolical plan called for “mass murder on an unimaginable scale.”

Is the Democratic Leadership and Lieberman Falling Apart?

When Senator Lieberman moves his campaign to the libertarian ticket he will be re-challenging the young up and coming Democrat that beat him in the primary election. If the young democrat wins again he will replace Lieberman and the Democrats will lose yet another very strong politician who knows how to get things done in Washington DC.

Democracy and the Next Generation of Public Servants

Developing the next generation of public servants takes a public commitment. Instilling in young people that public service is of prime importance is critical to the continuance of a democracy. Without their support who will be the future taxpayers, lawmakers or public servants? Where will future government staff facilitators come from so that future elected policy makers, overwhelmed by the vastness of their responsibilities and armed with only limited resources, can rely on honest and wise policy options suggest by those facilitators. Where is the training ground for the next generation of State and local government researches and staff?

Rockets For Peace...

July 6th, 2006 8:07PM California Time Is North Korea actually able to threaten the United States mainland with Nuclear Warheads? Of course not, but it makes a great headline. In fact, in researching this article I found that every headline read similarly. The content of each article did not answer these questions with the 'YES!' that the titles implied. First and foremost, the point: The United States of America cannot dictate to sovereign nations (in this case North Korea) on whether or not the nation is allowed to test Rockets. Why not? Well for one thing, we're testing them ourselves constantly. The picture above shows the launch of a highly classified spy satellite known only as NROL-22, launched on behalf of the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO)

Say Hello to the Neo-McGovernites

I almost ignored anti-war Ned Lamont’s win over pro-war Joe Lieberman in the Connecticut primary last night until I got a load of two of Lamont’s cadre of celebrants. Directly behind a smiling Lamont were Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton – two of the most divisive, opportunistic, and race-baiting individuals that contemporary politics has spawned. Somewhere in the distance, I could almost hear the faint whisper of Jackson’s “Hymietown” or Sharpton’s fixation on New York “diamond merchants.”

An Open Letter To Modern Day Peaceniks

Many look at war in absolute terms. It's always bad, and should be avoided at all costs, no matter the circumstances. Did you consider this?

How Will Fidel Castro's Reign Differ From Brother Raul's Cuban Rule?

Based on his name; there are 3 reasons why Raul can't rule like a Fidel. 1) While a Raul is likable in his own right; he lacks Fidel's mesmerizing charm. 2) He lacks the defiant, in your face boldness that is a Fidel trademark coping skill. 3) Raul doesn't 'think outside the box' like a Fidel.

US and Brazil Hope for Progress in the International Trade Talks

During their meetings, both the US and Brazil committed themselves in helping to resolve the trade disputes impeding the progress of the international trade talks.

Israel, Mexico, Arabia and the US; Is the Answer Staring Right at Us?

Hezbolla, Palestine, Lebanon, Israel and Mexico, could a move be a solution?

Letter Concerning Israeli and Lebanese Crisis to Cambodian Minister of Foreign Affairs

I am writing you in relation to the events in Lebanon. Today and luckily for humanity the world is increasingly connected and forming a global village. So, despite biased media reports for the benefit of Israel, we as citizens of the world have a clear idea of what is happening in that part of the world and Cambodia.
