Politics and the 80/20 Principle

The founding fathers, recognizing that our country was too big - even then, for everybody to sit around a big table in Philadelphia, established a representative democracy. We, the people, elect folks to represent us.

The Reporter Pays A Call On The Foe

Iran's president Ahmedinejad is rebranding himself. Not only has he launched a blog which recounts his childhood, but he has also enlisted retired CBS star reporter Mike Wallace to do his public relations dirty work

Politicians, Illegal Aliens, Billions of Dollars and a Truckload of Bull

In December the house passed a bill that Senator Bill Frist endorses. They now want to escalate the status of Illegal Alien to a Felony offense. The bill they have been referring to is HR 4437, otherwise known as The Border Protection, Antiterrorism, and Illegal Immigration Control Act of 2005.

Liberalism

Principles adapt according to changing communal and biased circumstances and can even combine with, or take on principles from, other ideologies. Liberalism as a philosophy has undergone consecutive modifications since its beginning some 300 years ago. In scrupulous, Liberalism’s outlook of the position of the state has transformed since 1880 in reaction to the financial failings of its own ‘Laissez faire’ philosophy, but all through Liberalism has retained its primary obsession with the liberty of the personality.

Impact of 2006 Elections on Homeland Security

How will the elections of 2006 impact homeland security.

The Mainstream Media is Hiding The World Peace Formula

Thank God for the internet.

George Horton Bush Hears a Who

George Horton Bush was out in the rose garden one lovely fall day, he was picking flowers with his trunk and was admiring their beauty when he heard a strange cluck cluck. Hello? He asked, who was that? Then he heard the sound again, he focused his massive republican elephant ears at the bunch of flowers and listened with all his might again. Ah Ha! This time he could see were the noise came from, on the end of one of the flowers a tiny little voice cried out, “Our troops are stuck in Iraq!” Who said that! Who are you! George Horton demanded.

Kerry vs. Statement of Arrogance

It never fails, when one person says something wrong, or I suppose, not too smart, as did Kerry recently with the statement he said he got wrong, read wrong, memorized wrong, and said wrong, now he blames this person and that person, we often reach out to blame whomever we can find, to distract ones responsibility. He said what he said, but he may not have meant what he said.

The Coming Democratic Election Defeat

We Americans have a hole in our Constitution a loophole and perhaps a fatal flaw. Our elections are constitutionally mandated the sole propriety of the states. This allows a Kenneth Blackwell of Ohio to invalidate voter registrations because the paper wasn’t of the correct weight. Or a Katherine Harris to allow Republican officials to use a room in Tallahassee to correct Republican absentee ballots.

PowerHouse—Or Corrupt House of Power?

Two weeks to Election Day 2006 and like the rising tide that lifts all boats, the rising mounds of excrement in political ads make me want to throw up. Sadly, what should be an exciting and productive time in our history has degenerated into the lowest common denominator for the American people. We are a generous, learned and sacrificing people who deserve better than politicians desperately trying to hang on to their corruptive power.

Prelude to Hillary/Warner ‘08

With all the debate and discussion in regards to the 2008 Presidential race, I’ll throw in my two cents. At first, I thought maybe Mark Warner (D-Virginia) really does want to spend time with family and live a normal life. Yea right! Last night I came to my senses…

Won't Medicare Pay for Our Long Term Care

Fact: Medicare is NOT DESIGNED to cover long term care. It was designed primarily to help with 'short term' rehabilitation.

Voting And Other Lies

Well, it is time once again for those that would rub our face into their lies, to do so again! The closer Election Day comes the more rubbing we get! I don't mind anyone telling the truth nor of telling a lie. If they want to. The lies they tell, reflect upon them! You should first know what the dictionary says is a lie, so as to be on the same page here. Lie; means to tell a lie, whether the teller knows what he is saying is a lie or not! Wow! That revelation should open up a new class of people in America! I mean, you could lump about everyone into that class! But for this article, we will be a bit more narrow in our coverage of lying. Mainly, here, we can keep this article's subject pointed towards Politics, as it affects us here in America. I have trouble with that. Like some magnet that has two North Poles, I tend to wander! I ain't kidding you here! Politics, as it is practiced here in this Great Country, is an arena for two types of people. That is; in the main. ....

Iraq and Afghanistan: Staying Until the Fight is Over

Leaving Iraq and Afghanistan would be catastrophic, for those countries and for the United States. The fight in both countries is far from over and calls for massive troop withdrawals must be resisted. Americans need to understand that we are indeed locked in a fight for our way of life, and that this enemy will not just leave us alone if we pull out of the Middle East.

Consequences of a Democratic Victory

If Democrats are successful in their bid to regain control of Congress this November, Republicans will have only themselves to blame. But beware of a Democratic victory, which is likely to bring tax increases, the impeachment of President Bush, the abandonment of our allies in Iraq, and massive government spending.
