Since Cain couldn't find his gun - he used a stone - what would he have done if he hadn't been able to find a stone?

Political Divide Heating Up!
The political divide is once again heating up even though there is not another presidential election for about three years. Some of the more aggressive political pundits are getting quite literary and creative. Just other day I read this poem on the Internet

Minimum Wage Hike Will Hurt Workers, Small Businesses
On February 10, The Arizona Republic reported the state's new minimum wage law had cost many teen workers their jobs. We can expect this on a national scale once the proposed minimum wage hike to $7.25 passes the Senate and gets signed in to law by President Bush.

Elliot Spitzer - Governor of New York Delivers Brilliant Speech
It appears that many people under estimated the former Attorney's General for the State of New York. Some called him a man on a mission to root out corporate corruption and others called him a Machiavellian bound socialist. Indeed, being a New York Liberal many are somewhat concerned about his leadership.

The Right of Iraq to Self-Determination - Part 3
It was the right that underpinned the legitimacy and success of the American War of Independence, but it was the first democratic right to be trampled underfoot during the invasion of Iraq - that is the inalienable right of nations to self-determination. Now the US is supporting sectarian federalism. Can it work or is Confederation of Independent States needed?

The Constitution - What the Heck Does It Really Say Anyway? Bill Of Rights Part 1
I am not a Constitutional scholar. I am not an intellectual, a legal expert, or an over educated pundit. If you want an overblown, unintelligible lecture on the Bill of Rights that twists the meaning to fit whatever a babbling blowhard is arguing for or against, put this down immediately, grab the remote and report post haste to the Fox News Channel. If you are still there, please know there are probably not many differences between me and you. I am an average American trying to get by as best as I can. Most days I don’t rouse myself to worry about the state of the American political system, okay maybe I do, but it’s not like an obsession. I don’t volunteer for local, state or federal candidates in elections, but I do watch the news regularly. I never call in to radio talk shows, though I do listen to a vast variety of radio talk shows, right and left. Something has been going on right beneath the surface of everyday life that has caught my eye.

All spending bills have to come from the House of Representatives, but the Senate can amend the bills, add some stuff, or cut some stuff out.

Who Invented Bureaucracy Anyway?
We have all heard of the Bureaucracy that permeates our present period civilization, we may also have heard of the political bureaucracy of Ancient Rome. In the movie Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy we see some comical relief in that Sci Fi Fantasy. Arthur C. Clarke also mentions the bureaucracy in 3001. But perhaps you may not know the earliest written record of Bureaucracy

Strong State Debate in The United States and Consideration of Complexity
Our nation was formed with the idea of strong states and a weak Federal Government, yet now as our nation is more mature it is some what a point of contention. The allowing of state or regional automomy makes sense but a since of streamlining through standarization lowers costs, enjoys the economies of scale and would reduce the bureaucracy created by massive run-away redundancies. Citizens already pay too much in taxes.

Evaluating Evaluation Papers on Failed Projects Offers Little to the Future
Evaluations are a smart thing to do, as long is one is honest in their evaluations. Unfortunately when government evaluates itself using their most trusted consultants we should all know the conclusions in advance. Life really gets fun when someone close to the issue, starts speaking up and evaluating the evaluations? But it never ends there does it.
