Time For A Constitutional Convention
When in the course of human events it becomes clear that a portion of the American public no longer understands the clear and unambiguous words of our Constitution it is necessary to further clarify already simple and plain language that even your average third grader in 1776 could have understood. As such I propose that the time for a Constitutional Convention to aid in the process of dumbing down the Constitution of these United States is at hand and I do propose the following amendments.

Power
It is one of the most desired capacities to obtain. It can protect or crush beings. It can intimidate and meddle with minds. It can call forth the obedience and action of a nation. It comes in many forms and can be executed in a number of ways. Power is the controlling and moving force that makes things happen.

In Response To Accusations Of Political Partisanship
Often times people are pigeon-holed into a category of political thought based on certain opinions they may hold about certain issues. Regardless of whether they themselves consider themselves politically affiliated or not, or even if they hold opinions which differ from the body-politic into which they have been categorized, these accusations or labels stick. When they do so they stigmatize the individual and do great harm to the ability of peoples to engage in speech free from rhetoric and cliche and narrow the ability of society to progress through the dissemination and advancement of ideas.

How Both The Right And Left Are Missing God In Politics
All of my voting life in Australia I have supported the right wing view in politics and as this election approaches in our country I am finally starting to consider voting for the left. The only reason I am going to vote left is that I want the Australian troops to be withdrawn from Iraq but is has little to do with their politics either. I find when I read books of late and left wing papers that in the USA both sides are missing God just like in our country. In this short essay let me share my views of political things in the world from a Christian viewpoint.

The United States Will Need a President Born Between 1962 and 1967
As we look at the political divide in the United States between Democrats and Republicans we notice that things are just not right. We need to get along and develop a better sense of unity so we can maintain the forward progression of our nation and allow for the transitions which lie ahead. Recently our Online Think Tank took up this subject and tried to figure out the challenges that are forth coming and the future divides that we will need to conquer.

Political Divide Heating Up!
The political divide is once again heating up even though there is not another presidential election for about three years. Some of the more aggressive political pundits are getting quite literary and creative. Just other day I read this poem on the Internet

Who Is The Real Stephen Harper?
Anyone attempting to get a read on Canada's PM, Stephen Harper, will quickly realize that this is a man who is far from transparent. Some have argued that his dominant trait is a Machiavellian willingness to play the political game in order to maximize his winning potential.

The Right of Iraq to Self-Determination - Part 2
It was the right that underpinned the legitimacy and success of the American War of Independence, but it was the first democratic right to be trampled underfoot during the invasion of Iraq - that is the inalienable right of nations to self-determination. Now the US is supporting sectarian federalism. Can it work or is Confederation of Independent States needed?
