Does Your Marketing Pass This 10-Point Test?
Good marketing, whatever form it takes, always meets certain criteria. That's what makes it good. The following 10-Point checklist will help you determine if your marketing passes the test. I challenge you to evaluate one of your recent ads, promotions or other marketing activities to see how it measures up.1) Does it focus on the solution or benefit you provide?Too often ads simply list product or service features. Don't make your prospects work that hard to figure out how your product or service can help them. Tell them straight out.2) Does it have one, clear message? What's the ONE message you want to communicate? Make sure it's not buried in too much information or it may not get across.3) Is it

    The Key To Beating Spam
Spammers have changed their tactics a lot over the last few years and the amount of spam circulating the Internet is rising at an alarming rate. The vast diversity of spam messages and different techniques used by spammers make it hard to identify spam accurately, whether it is a human being or a computer program doing the identification. Identifying spam will not have a direct impact on the amount of spam distributed each day, but over a long period of time it can make spam an ineffective method of marketing. Spammers continue to distribute unsolicited bulk e-mails because it works and they need active readers to make it work. If nobody read their e-mails anymore they will have no reason for wasting their time on unresponsive recipien
If you're thinking about using a debt consolidation or debt settlement service to help you get out of debt faster and save money on your monthly payments, make sure you do your homework before choosing a company. There are definitely shams and scams out there.

First let me say that debt consolidation is *not* the same as debt settlement/negotiation, which most people don't realize.

Debt settlement companies charge hundreds of dollars as an initial "admin fee" to set up your account, plus a monthly service fee. The fees vary depending on the company and the amount of your debts.

Such companies take your money every month, but don't make monthly payments to your creditors! Instead, they put it in a trust account, negotiate your debts with your creditors, then make a lump-sum payment when there's enough in your account to pay a creditor in full.

That can take *years* depending on the amount of debt you have with each creditor. Meanwhile, you can be sued by your creditors and your wages can be garnished! (Or just don't make payments to your creditors. You'll end up in the same spot without pa

    Prospecting Your Customer
When you establish a relationship with a customer, you want that relationship to have many levels, not just one layer from one sale.We all have our sales goals to meet on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis. This doesn’t mean that once we get a sale out of our customer, that we hurry them out the door and move onto the next one.Build a relationship with your customer. As you close the deal on your sale, talk to your customer, find out what it is they need and can use that you can provide them with.People love to talk about themselves, so it shouldn’t be too hard to get them talking.Ask about their job, their family, their pets, their hobbies, etc.For instance, when I was in banking, working within t

Realtor Marketing: A Must For Your Real Estate Business
Like with any business, realtors need to know marketing to increase the number of clients and sales. Marketing is a step that real estate brokers often overlook in their training. Many believe that in the real estate business, the market is pretty much guaranteed. But this isn't the stance to take if you are a realtor and want to make your business the best in your community. There are realtors that believe the "brand name" advertising that the parent company provides is all the marketing they need. If the realtor works for Century 21, Re-Max, Coldwell Bankers, or any number of national firms, they believe the tv and print advertising is what brings their clients to them. But this brand name advertising is not the local

Marketing Myth #2: It Is Not Important To Know What You Don't Know
This is the most pervasive, far-reaching and detrimental marketing myth of them all! It is an equal-opportunity fantasy whose believers are corporate CEOs; entrepreneurs; male and female; young and old; rich and poor; tall and short; moms and pops; etc.It is also the most difficult one to correct because the “patient” doesn’t know he/she is ill! It serves as the foundation for prejudice, ignorance and failure and influences all of the sufferer’s decisions and behaviors – personally and professionally.Ironically, this myth often serves as the very basis for becoming an entrepreneur in the first place. Michael Gerber, in his classic book, “The E-Myth”, says that most small businesses are started by technicians (folks who ar

Settlement companies don't ask your creditors to stop all interest, late fees and overlimit fees from accruing. That means while the negotiations are ongoing, your bills will continue to grow! So if you're sued and a judgement is brought against you, you'll owe more money than before!

And shoddy companies, which there are alot of, don't tell you *any* of this up front. I call it "getting permission by ommission" because they simply don't tell you how their program works *before* you sign an agreement with them. Or after, for that matter. But if you ask the right questions, eventually you'll figure it out. (Or when the crap hits the fan. Whichever comes first.)

Let me give you an example of how debt settlement works.

Let's say you have $20,000 in unsecured credit card debt. You owe $10,000 to one credit card company, $6,000 to anot
