You must know yourself. What you are good at, what your weaknesses are. You can excel at the things you are good at, and yet if you don’t control your weaknesses, or have someone else handle them, you will never get ahead online.
Why do you exist? For me, I know that I exist as part of the family of God, and that I have a unique purpose here on earth. I am a Christian, which simply means that I am a Christ-follower---I believe that Jesus Christ is Lord of All and He is my personal Saviour.
What do you want to receive out of the internet? If you do not know what you are going to get out of the internet, how will you ever determine a way to get it? Imagine if I visit a big city and I say I do not know why I am here or what I am doing here. What will I get out of it? Maybe I will walk around it lost, perhaps stumble on a tourist attraction or two, maybe I will see something interesting, maybe not. But if I visit that same city, knowing what I want to see, I can buy a map, rent a car, and go see and do everything I want to. But only because I know. You must decide what you are going to get out of the internet, or it will only give you the crumbs that fall off the tables of the rich and happy online. Guaranteed!
What are you willing to give in exchange for what you have decided to get from the internet? You must be willing to exchange a fair value for everything you receive from the internet. Think of the internet as a real person, someone with whom you will do business. If you want to buy an apple at the market, you have to give fair value for it--whether that is one dollar or it is the exchange of an orange. But you have to give something for the apple.
