Are Your People Busy or Hiding Out?
Over the years, I have observed many salespeople and their routines – daily, weekly, monthly and yearly. It is my belief that many salespeople waste a great deal of time. Some of the common time wasters are (there are many others, this is just a quick list):·poor prospecting ·spending too much time with poor prospects ·not having a clear plan for their day/week/month/year/life ·starting too late in the day/ending too soon ·redundant time habits (this would take a book to cover) ·not concentrating on a task at hand ·lacking focusI am not suggesting that you work 18 hour days, take work home with you on weekends, ignore your family and have no fun. I have been selling for over 35 year
es when we should bite our tongues and keep quiet.

When you really want to speak out, but you know you should not, it is best to just bite your tongue. If you realize that your tongue is out of control, make a commitment right now—at this very moment to do the following:

    1. Refuse to participate in, listen to, or tolerate negative things (backbiting and gossip) said about another person. If you tell people you will not partic
7 Steps To Achieving Joint Venture Projects
Joint Ventures are considered an essential part of growing your business and becoming successful. However, many people looks at JV’s as a fearful or overwhelming idea. If you follow some steps and have some preparations together then you can move forward confidently.First, before approaching anyone, do you have your business set up and do you know what you want to do a joint venture on. Many of the people that you approach may already be receiving several offers, so preparation is the key. Then decide on who you want to have JV’s with. If you are not sure, you can do some research to help you find some potential people. The details on searching can be an article in its self, but to highlight you can:
According to the Oxford Dictionary of Current English, to speak with one's tongue in one's cheek is to speak insincerely or ironically. This phrase dates back to 1748 when it was cool to show disdain or disrespect for someone by putting your tongue inside your cheek to make it stick out.

While we rarely use this gesture to signal contempt today, we exercise tongue-in-cheek with our words. Our tongues are still happily employed in broadcasting insincerity, hypocrisy and any number of damaging darts to pre-planned or unsuspecting targets.

      The Tongue

The tongue is the main vessel used to speak. It accomplishes this by spewing out sounds and words. Although a small part of the body, it controls and affects the direction of our lives. Most of the time it does a lot of good; but sometimes it gets us into huge trouble, and controlling it is a lifelong process.

Words are the main product of the tongue. Words have great healing power and are life-giving substances. They can wound or kill. With our words, we can hurt ourselves as well as our relationships with others.

      Speak at Your Own Risk

Did you know that what comes out of your mouth reflects what is in your heart? It has been estimated that on a weekly basis, the average person speaks more than 200,000 words—enough to fill a 500 page book! Words are powerful and extremely concentrated! When spoken in too-large quantities, they can affect emotions and attitudes. They germinate readily when spoken; therefore, we must be careful in what we say and how we say it.

      Bite Your Tongue

We bite our tongues to keep quiet and not say what we really want to say. It is not always right to speak out and express what pops into our minds. Instead, there are times when we should bite our tongues and keep quiet.

Grow Your Work At Home Business Not Your Hobbies
I’m a customizing freak, I can look at something brand new and instead of fully appreciating its “stock” value I start to fantasize about how I can give it my personal touch. Cars, motorcycles, roller skates, home d?cor, cooking and techno gadgets, shoes, and clothes; they all have seen my dollar (some of them more than others). In the coming months I’ve pledged to stay focused on my Work at Home Hobbies instead of others that will potentially drain and not grow my bank account.I continue to read many Work at Home or Work from Home articles to find out what people have to say on the subject and their experiences. F-E-A-R in the Job Search!
Fear in starting a job search is a four letter word! Like any other four letter word, the word itself can create more fear, and some- times self-loathing!Look at the fear when it applies to a job search.Fear of others.Fear of change.Fear of rejection.Fear of being seen as inadequate.Fear of taking action, (procrastination in disguise).By looking at the fears expressed, they revolve around failure. It is not failure in the person looking for a job, it is failure to take action. Looking carefully at number 5, it is easy to understand that a lack of action is the root cause of most failures in the job search. It is often better to do

Why 95% of Yellow Page Antique Ads Really Stink, and What You Can Do To Be in the Top 5%
Did I get your attention? That's exactly what I intended to do. I wrote a compelling headline that concentrated on a problem, created interest and desire, and offered a solution...all in a few short words! It's a fact, most antique advertisements in the yellow pages are really lame! Oh, the "yellow page man" that sells you this crud will tell you that your ad "looks good", but does it generate business for you? What's the bottom line? The bottom line when you spend any amount of money on marketing your antique shop, mall or "offer to buy" must always be the same; did you get a good R.O.I. (return on investment) for the money that you laid out? If the answer to that question is "no", or "I don't know

If you tell people you will not participate, they will stop including you in these types of conversations. So, speak up!
              2. Watch your tone and attitude. Encourage and boost the self-esteem of those you talk to by allowing words of praise and encouragement to come out of your mouth. The tone and attitude behind your words can work miracles or do far greater damage than the words themselves.
              3. Think positively. Look on the bright side of things. Develop a positive mental attitude about people. Believe it or not, this will brighten your personality and bring you contentment.
              4. Practice being patient. I know this is hard to do sometimes, but when you are stuck in traffic or in the cashier’s line, find something productive to think about or do—view your emails, read the headings on a magazine, plan the rest of your day, etc. How about actually talking to someone in line—not complaining about how long it is taking; but really engaging in a conversation or two?
              5. Learn to cope. A common definition of insanity is doing the things you’ve always done, yet expecting the result to be different. We live in an imperfect world, yet we continue to expect it to somehow be perfect. Stop wasting precious time and energy! Instead, consider even the smallest annoyance a challenge to overcome. Just think of the sweet sense of accomplishment you will receive once you have succeeded in tackling it.
              6. Stop whining and complaining. Whining and complaining are energy-draining. Liberal doses of this highly toxic stuff leads to bitterness and ultimately poor health. Introduce a chronic complainer into a festive gathering and you end up with a mass exodus of the guests. Avoid complaining about things or people you can’t control. Think of s
