Media Publicity - Get Reporters on Your Side
Media publicity is something you want to generate. It's free and it gets you the type of exposure most people pay a lot of money for. The key with media publicity is that you can use it for your own publicity over and over again. Here are some ways to become savvy around reporters that will maximize your opportunities for media coverage. To garner media publicity you have to be perceived as an expert source. Host as many seminars and get on as many c

Now I had a motive! Imagine a desperate mother making sure she had sufficient food to feed her babies. That is a far greater reason to fight than simply avoiding and uncomfortable pinch. This brings me to the main reason that makes us fight with determination: the awareness that we are fighting for something of value. Value, makes all the difference.

When you go about business half-heartedly your failure is 95% guaranteed. The one who fights the harder always wins. But what’s the magic ingredient that makes you fight till death? What is the secret weapon that tells your mind there is no backing down, it’s do or die? What enables you to refuse NO as the final answer?

I am sure you’ve heard before, that we’re all salespeople. We are all selling something from the day we are born, and the better our sale’s pitch, the better response we get. I would go as far as saying that we’re all sales creatures living on this earth and we are all striving for the things we want or need to survive, get ahead and reach our goals. Too many of us, however, go into the field without proper preparation, willing to be mediocre and settle for whatever result we may obtain.

Our goal is simply to react to the field, to pitch in a mechanical way and if works, that’s great, we had a good day at work. If it doesn’t, then we had a bad day. This passive approach takes away our power and gives it to someone or something else.

I learned a valuable lesson one day in my office, over two years ago. Since my workplace was not far away from the sea, every once in a while a mosquito or two managed to sneak in. This day in particular I left what I was doing, to make sure I didn’t only fan the mosquito away but I actually wanted to kill it. Yet try as I may, it seemed more and more difficult. I tried all the tricks in the book. Tried to stay quite so it could stand on my legs and quietly strike it, but none of it worked. The mosquito was swift and versatile. It almost seemed skillful and athletic. Finally I realized that I was wasting too much time, so I just resorted to fanning it away that it couldn’t obtain a bite out of me. But half-hearted effort seldom ever prevails. So the inevitable happened. I felt the pinch on my calf and then it was over, the war was over and I had lost. I almost felt a sense of relief, like something deep down inside of me admitted that my enemy had earned the right to win.

Normally I would have been very upset, but the whole event made me stop and think of the powerful sales lesson I had just been taught… by a mosquito. It was about the power of determination. Since then I have concluded that the power of determination is the single common ingredient all winners share. You must be determined in order for the brain to lock into an objective and stop at nothing until it accomplishes what it wants.

It made me wonder what would drive such a small creature that doesn’t even have a brain, to stop at nothing until it reached its goal. I did a bit of research and discovered that only female mosquitoes have the ability to suck blood. And they actually do it to be able to produce eggs. Now I had a motive! Managing Change
How often have you heard the statement, the only thing constant is change. No kidding, right? Anyone living on the planet earth can attest to that statement. For most of us, the pace of change seems to have picked up dramatically over the past few years, thanks in part to the increased availability and use of technology, as well as the global economy in which we now live and work. Layer on all of the merger and acquisition activity and the ongoing waves of l

Tips on Selecting the Right Personal Injury or Car Accident Lawyer
If you are in a car accident and suffer an injury, you should consult with an attorney. Although most people would like to do the right thing and compensate your for your injury, it is rarely up to the person which caused the injury. In fact, it will more than likely be at the discretion of the other person's insurance company. In addition, as we all know, insurance companies will do everything in their power not to offer compensation for your injury or offer a

    Beef Cattle and Drought Conditions
I hope we don't need them this year but just in case here are some ideas for Cattle Production in Drought Situations.Droughts should be considered "normal" in the cattle industry. All producers should make plans well in advance of their occurrence. Below are a few ideas that you might consider:Adjust stocking rate to the carrying capacity of dry years, then take advantage of favorable years with alternative enterprises such as retained ownership, sto

All because a brainless little creature displayed incredible determination which was inspired by a worthy and valuable cause.

So next time you are preparing to go out there and “ get’ em” make sure your focus is clear. Once you know you are offering something of great value nothing can stop you, you know you’ll make a major contribution that could even change someone’s life for the better.
