There is no certainty that your parents, children, brothers, sisters, friends and spouse will always be there for you. But, you are guaranteed that as long as you are alive, you will reap the rewards of what you have done with your life or, suffer the consequences of neglecting yourself. Your knowledge, skills, talents and abilities are what will make you happy and able to live life to the fullest. There is only one person in the world that can make you rise to the occasion, only one person you can truly count on and that person is you. If you don't put forth the effort towards self-improvement now, and everyday, you are limiting your ability to represent yourself correctly and therefore the amount of success you reap during your lifetime. When I say success, I mean all forms of success including spiritual, financial, physical and emotional. We are not measured by what we take from this life. Rather, by what we give. There is a poem that sums it up best known as: THE MAN IN THE GLASS When you get what you want in your struggle for self And the world makes you king for a day, Just go to the mirror and look at yourself And see what that man has to say.
