Managing Client Relationships: Even the best run organizations occasionally run into difficult situations with clients, consultants, and vendors. Often times it is not just a business process that has gone a-rye, it is the relationship of the people managing the situation. So how is it that we manage difficult problems and how is it that we coach all the members of our organization to manage crisis to their (and their company's) advantage. Here are some helpful tips:Treat everyone (clients, consultants and vendors) equally, realizing that everyone from a secretary to a CEO of a corporation can and will impact your business (in both a positive and a negative way).Have a written philosophy stating your company's position on how it expects its employees to interact with people (both inside and outside of the organization).Regularly remind your p

Behaviours - The Blueprint For Change
‘Managing change’. A business catchphrase, part of the consulting lexicon. A sub-industry on its own. A myriad of books. A myriad of misunderstandings. This statement declares that you and I – who have moved jobs a few times, married, raised teenagers, dealt with a thousand life events, been a political activist or a local church helper – don’t know about change and adapting to it. The statement needs qualification, and this is the best I can offer: people are resistant to change when they lose - or feel they lose - control. In other words, the problem is imposed change, particularly in the workplace, when you haven’t been part of the process or don’t feel like the owner of that change.A second issue lies within the terms ‘change’ or ‘managing change’, which appear in organizations in so many ways they have become a

Job Search Lessons from Before The Super Bowl
Every year, football teams coming to training camp in August to prepare for their season, They will play 4 or 5 exhibition and 16 regular season games to determine which teams will meet in the playoffs in “one and done” elimination for the opportunity of playing in The Super Bowl. What lessons can we take from these athletes and their experiences that we can apply to job hunting?First of all, being a great athlete is no guaranty of being successful. Professional sports are littered with great athletes who have never one a championship. As a result, it’s important to remember to surround yourself with a great team. A team you can excel with and a coach (boss) who can be a good leader for you and others. You will play the way you practice. Teams don’t just “show up” on Sunday. They practice and practice hard in order to develop their skills within a system

ADA - Recognizing the Face of the Disabled
Albert Einstein, Alexander Graham Bell, Edison, Franklin D. Roosevelt, General George Patton, Robin Williams, Walt Disney, Janet Reno, Neil Cavuto, and Michael J. Fox.Aside from being very successful in their chosen fields, what commonality do these individuals share? Each of these people have disabilities. If these individuals were not allowed to contribute their talents and expertise to our world, how would that affect our world as we know it? The result...we don't differentiate ourselves, our company, and our products from everyone else in the pack. It's the old "me too" thinking and that's a huge mistake.

The easiest way to solve this is to specialize. Pick an area, study it, concentrate on it, and become an expert in that field.

As you know, I love FSBOs to concentrate on. But, you could become an expert in First Time Home Buyers, No Documentation Loans, VA Loans, FHA Loans, Sub-Prime Loans, or Realtor Loans, for example. The nice thing about our business is that there are tons of choices ...pic
