The Case For Entrepreneurship - 6 Reasons Why Starting Your Own Enterprise Is The Way To Go
Have you ever dreamed of being your own boss? Do you have a great business idea that you would like to bring to fruition? There is no better time to start a business than now! 14 million U.S women own or run a business; women owned businesses employ a whopping 27.5 million people. According to The Center For Women’s Business Research, nearly half (46%) of all businesses are at least 50% owned by a woman or women. Women are taking risks and succeeding as entrepreneurs!Women entrepreneurs of today are innovators, problem-solvers and have taken the over the reigns governing their futures. Almost 60% of women who have transitioned from traditional jobs to the world of entrepreneurship declare that nothing would attract them back to the corporate world. Thinking of pursuing a venture of your own? Here are six propelling reasons why entrepreneurship is the way to go:1. Financial IndependenceEntrepreneurship has proven to be a major vehicle individuals use to achieve financial freedom. One of the fastest ways to build wealth is starting a business; 74% of wealthy people are business owners (not employees). From legends like Madam C.J. Walker to the well-known visionaries of our time such as Bill Gates and Michael Dell, we have mounting evidence that individuals have used their business to create millions if not billions of dollars in personal wealth. While all companies may not be billion dollar enterprises, we see phenomenal success in individuals whose entrepreneurial endeavors bring in modest cash flow whose business revenues has allowed them to pay off debt, send loved ones to college, fund retirement accounts and much more.2. Creation of Multiple Streams Of IncomeThis is one of my favorites! As a business owner, you have a world of options at your fingertips. You can leverage your knowledge and expertise to create several streams of income from a single idea. Let’s take a simple pie example. Say your passion is making cherry pie. Everyone loves and requests your cherry pies all the time. You decide you can make some extra money by selling your delicious cherry pi

References - In a Job Search You Need a Good Reference so Choose Carefully
Choose carefullyYou will want to choose people who know you, and often you are asked for both work and personal referees. It's a good idea not to choose relatives, they don't carry much authority. Ideally choose people who are professionals with a good reputation. Former employers carry the most weight, also key suppliers and customers who can vouch for the work you do. Referees are sometimes telephoned and if they can clearly give examples of your achievements it is worth gold!Get their permissionAsk general permission from them before you start your job hunt. You don't need to contact them each time, but you may want to remind them you are still looking if the job search drags on, or you are slow to start. By asking permission, you will show your respect for them and their busy schedules. Although most of the time many will be happy to help you in your career search, some previous employers or university academics may not wish to participate. Respect their wishes: a half-hearted testimonial is worse than no reference at all!Brief themDo they know what you have been doing in your current and previous jobs? Do they know what you are applying for? It can help to let them have a copy of your CV plus details on the job(s) you are applying for. Give each referee a duplicate copy of your CV and cover letter that you sent to the employer. Also, supply each referee with a copy of the description of the position for which you are applying and a list of the specific features in your previous job/background that you would like them to mention to the employer. The easier it is for the referee to help you, makes it more likely that they will.Have correct contact informationMake sure you have all details correct, especially telephone numbers and email address. Also be sure you have their correct job title. It may have changed since you were last in touch. It is more official to include the persons' work rather than home contact details.Keep them informed<

Hypnotherapy for Business Development – Leading by Example
So you thought hypnotherapy and business development make a rather odd couple, right? One is all about strange utterings and exaggerated facial expressions, while the other is about being cool, calculated and professional. How odd that they could even be considered compatible. How absolutely bizarre! But truth is always stranger than fiction, and I would like to break the myth that business and hypnotherapy don’t go together. I would go on to say even as much that Hypnotherapy for business development is one of the fastest growing fields in this alternative sciences division.Numerous corporates and organizations today hire qualified and experienced trainers to take their personnel through rigorous training modules to increase their efficiency. From communication skills, to sales & marketing; from EQ, to leadership and time management, there are a host of training requirements which are needed by corporates around the clock. The end result of all these trainings is that each and every employee should be more efficient and present timely results, they should have good communication skills to maintain harmony in the working environment; they should be able to eliminate stress and have the ability to work as a team. What if there was one single method of training which could teach the employees to do all this and more, at a continuous basis and provide excellent results, be cost effective and easily accessible. Well there it is…the answer is hypnotherapy for business development. You would be surprised to know that more and more managers are signing up for hypnotherapy for business development classes every year. The benefits of such a class are manifold and people are beginning to realize that. The corporate world is rife with high tension jobs, immense stress and competition. Many people suffer from lifestyle disorders because of their hectic schedules, and some even suffer from a burnout. Such a situation would take a toll on anyone’s performance, and this is exactly where hypnotherapy helps. First of all, it helps a person relax and calm down…and that is one of the most important th

In this article we will talk about what it takes to be an effective human resource manager.Kim describes her typical day as well, not typical at all, every day is different. She says her job is very seasonal. "Recruiting season" for young lawyers starts in May and goes through November. During this time she will meet regularly with the recruiting Member of the firm, Jeff Mackenzie to discuss strategies, and issues of acquiring the best, and most compatible upcoming law school graduates. Overlapping some of the recruiting season, starting in August and going through January is the "benefits season" during this time she meets on a very regular basis with the Executive Director, Mitch Hopwood, to discuss the various benefits plans offered to the employees and members of the firm. These meetings generally involve ways to improve the benefits packages, their flexibility and cost to the firm and its employees and members. The third season she mentioned for the year is the "off season" this happens during February, March and April. During this time she has a chance to catch up on any paperwork and various other tasks that take a backseat during the busy seasons. Even with all these seemingly structured "seasons" of different job functions, one thing remains constant throughout. On a daily basis she acts as "camp counselor" for everyone in the firm, she mentioned that this is probably one of the more important functions because you have to be able to sympathize and be a good listener. The use of technology, for her, is critical. Kim logs on to through the intranet at home on a regular basis because, as she put it, there simply are not enough hours in a business day to get everything done. The firm also uses the Blackberry, a wireless email device, which is a very important part of her day-to-day functions. While on the road she can have access to email and answer questions, even if she is not in the office. She is also very excited about the pros
