Tracking Phone Sales Is Important To Your Affiliates
Today the majority of affiliates are looking for compensation when your customers call in their orders by phone. One of the first things they will look for when thinking about joining your affiliate program is to see if you have an order phone number on your site. If you do not offer phone commissions you are most likely losing out on affiliates. "But I slightly increased my commission rate to make up for not giving phone commissions..." Who cares? I know I wouldn't. If I referred 5 customers to Merchant X and all 5 of them called in their orders I get a whopping $0 commission. But if Merchant X paid for phone commissions I would be getting my commissions that I deserve. The bottom line is that affiliates want all of their commissions that they earn, not just some of it. There really is no excuse for not tracking phone sales other than the fact that you just don't want to pay affiliates for all of their sales. Setting your site up to track phone sales is not that difficult and shouldn't take more than a little bit of time. Energy-efficiency is back in the news again. Programs which started back in the 70’s and than began to fade, have been steadily increasing since 1998. Has this become a top issue once again? U.S. spending on energy-efficiency doubled in 2006 from what it was in 1999 according to the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy. In 2005 the Energy Policy Act was created to provide tax credits to home builders. They receive up to $2,000 for exceeding energy-saving standards by 50% on new homes or up to $500 to improve efficiency on existing homes. State governments have joined the cause as well by their consideration to expand or add new tax incentives to consumers who buy energy-saving products.Our government is not the only one riding the energy-saving train as companies have picked up on this concept as well. Wal-Mart recently announced a campaign to sell 100 million compact fluorescent bulbs by the end of 2007 which would save $3 billion in electrical costs.So what brought about this current change? Factors include higher energy prices, higher demand for energy, and concern for the environment, just to name a few. The United Nations: The Gathering of Children
The United Nations is supposed to be a gathering of world leaders so they can discuss amongst themselves how best to work together and unite in a common cause. The United Nations is supposed to prevent war, chaos and controversy from ruling mankind. The history of humankind is riddled with war and civil unrest and yet the children gathering at the United Nations seem to be dooming human populations into repeating our past follies.The United Nations is no longer a gathering of world leaders; it is a gathering of children and name-calling. When a nation state’s leader like Hugo Chavez of Venezuela calls the United States of America as President; The Devil. And when he says it with conviction and means it; we obviously have a problem with who is running some of the nations of this planet.How can the United Nations condone international terrorism and the nation states that sponsor them? How can the citizens of the world be protected against tyrannical children in charge of armies with weapons of mass destruction, while they act out using their weapons of mass media distraction.Is it just me or does anyone else out there feel that the United Nations is becoming a joke of humanity. What purpose do they serve, as the gathering of children and an open assembly resembling a third-grade sandbox? Consider all this in 2006.
