But what do you do if your in-laws are genuinely nice and you would like to maintain a post-divorce relationship with them? How do you handle it? Or, what if there are children of your relationship, so your in-laws are grandparents potentially with their own rights to access so it is not so easy to just turn on your heels and flee into the hills.
