Sometimes I feel like that kite. When my time in God’s Word slackens, I inevitably become carried away into doctrinal extremes and into sin. I need that grounding and that tension. Without God’s Word keeping that tension alive, I can only nosedive into error.

When I am faithful to speak truth in love, to spend time knowing truth, and to reflect truth in my lifestyle, I can depend on the string to hold me firmly on course. I am free to enjoy the thrill of flying.
