Unfortunately, currently many people are allowing emotion to prevent our country from protecting itself and that is alarming, especially as petty politics prevents proper preparedness. But this is not the only place there are problems. We need wider highways in our country and Desalination plants on the West Coast. Not in my backyard they say and it just gets worse in the opinion section of our newspapers each day.
Humans fear change, that is all there is to it and yet perhaps someone else should show them a worse fear when we fail to act in the best interests of our nation. What type of fear you ask? Well how about; Fear of Gridlock, Fear of Loss, Fear of Collapse (Jerred explains it), Fear of Economic issues, Fear of attack or Job Loss.
