In order for the Democrats to take this victory and get a return on the investment made by the voters several key things have to occur.

First and foremost, action. They need action and not words. The Actions need to be constructive, positive and decisive.

Second they need a cohesive front. Even though it is right to disagree with your own party at times we need to see a collective effort at real action with measurable results in all areas of federal and state government.

The decisive actions we need to see immediately are:

1) A positive plan for Iraq and the Middle East. We need a plan that is decisive with clear dates and expectations. This plan needs to include countries other than America in the planning and implementation. The execution of the plan should require milestones to measure results and decide if the actions should continue or be altered to adapt to the reality of a continuously evolving situation.

2) We need to have a very aggressive plan and lead the way for the U.N. to get off it’s butt and deal with the real threats facing the world:

a. North Korea & it’s Nuclear Ambitions

b. Iran’s Nuclear Ambitions

c. Global Terrorism (A or B could sell technology to terrorist)
