Hot Careers: Managing Your Career Choice When You Have Too Many Choices
Do you remember when career exploration was playing make-believe? At any given time you could switch from being a master chef to a brain surgeon to an archeologist with just the change of a costume. If only choosing a career were as easy as a wardrobe change.Career exploration involves research, observation, experimentation and relationship building. And although stressful at times, it can be fun and exciting. You just need to develop the right approach to the process of looking for the right career.Narrow career optionsOne of the biggest mistakes young adults make in career exploration is giving themselves too many choices. Harness Your Imagination and Shape Your Destiny
Your imagination is a powerful tool that you should leverage in mapping out your future. As previously discussed, your mind does not differentiate between what is real and what is imagined. There are three ways you can use your imagination as you begin your program of continuous improvement.1) Consciously shaping your daily activities to move you closer toward your goals. 2) Making changes in your environment that will influence you – on conscious and unconscious levels – to focus on your goals. 3) Behaving as though you have already achieved your goals. While fear embedded in the unconscious mind can sabotage our success, the reverse is also t
I always enjoy hearing about the success stories of people working from home, those who have started their own business and turned it into a money earning success

There are publications and even television programmes dedicated to peoples success in running their chosen business, a business that they enjoy being involved with and are normally shown earning plenty of extra money because of it.

However, every now and again, one hears of the downside of trying to run a business, I had an experience of this just before Christmas last year when a subscriber to my newsletter sent me a letter which asked to be taken off of my list and could he possibly have a refund for unsent copies. He stated that there was nothing wrong with the newsletter, he was a subscriber to several home business publications and had asked to me removed from them all. He explained that he had been trying for several years to be a success in working from home but that he had finally decided to call it a day.

How To Get A Good Job--Without A College Degree
Most of us are taught at an early age to get a good education so that we can get a good job when we grow up. Our teachers, our counselors, our parents all have instilled these ideas into our brains to “Finish school, and then get a good job.” As a parent, I couldn’t think of any other lesson more valuable to teach a child. ‘Knowledge is power’, ‘a good education will open doors’, or my personal favorite “don’t be a fool—stay in school”.The National Center for Education reported for the years 2003 and 2004 that the number of high school completers totaled 42.2%. College enrollment rates of recent high school completers were 45.2%. The reality is that more than half

Hiring the Right Bartenders When Starting a Bar
Hiring the right bartender makes a huge difference in operating a successful and profitable bar. A bartender who is fast, efficient, outgoing, able to up sell and suggest higher priced options and keep customers entertained will make for a very successful bar operation. The opposite is obviously true for a bartender lacking these skills. As a new bar owner, you probably don’t want to spend the time and energy training a brand new bartender- you will be better off finding one who already has the skills. Even better, find a bartender who already has a dedicated following. If you aren't going to be located too far from where they work now, you may be able to draw a si

3 Steps To Attracting More Clients With A Powerful Testimonial
How do you make a decision to purchase a service or product?Think back to the last time you made a decision to make a significant investment, be that something for your home or business life and the chances are that you not only tried out the product or service before you bought it, but you also asked the opinion of others.Let’s take for example purchasing a camera. Making Lasting Impressions with Business Card Cases
Buying a gift takes an enormous amount of care and patience. As if that is not bad enough, choosing a gift for your boss or an important client can be nerve-wracking and stressful. Naturally, because you are trying to make a good impression, you would like to come up with a gift that exudes professionalism, attitude, and class, and is, at the same time, unique. One of the things that corporate executives have in common is the business card. With the busy lives they lead, most of them carry numerous business cards in their wallets. This can be cumbersome. Clearly, an excellent present for that executive you badly want to impress is a business card case. Why B

It's a shame when somebody gives up altogether after trying so hard, he had spent 'thousands' promoting the various business opportunities which he had listed in the letter. To be honest, I wouldn't have given the opportunities that he'd mentioned house room, very weak and not all were what I'd describe as being genuine and legal.

If only somebody was around to advice him on this he probably would still want to make a go of it and would, no doubt, be earning from working at home.

The investment into mailing lists, mail shots, advertising, stationery, telephone calls, general marketing, petrol etc. etc. had all gone to waste as the writer could not make anything work to the degree that it could be called a success. In other words he didn't earn any money out of any of the businesses that he had tried so hard to promote.

Reading his letter to me, I could tell that he had fallen for the advertising that was used to prom
